DANZANKÓ - DisTouched 2022

The stilt-dance collective DANZANKÓ was founded in 2020 by three performers and dancers: Esther Geyer, Clara Gracia and me.

DisTouched is the debut of our collective, produced in spring/summer 2022. The piece advances our previously funded research exploring a method of dancing on stilts and its relation to personal space and distance (Gefördert durch die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien im Programm NEUSTART KULTUR, Hilfsprogramm DIS-TANZEN des Dachverband Tanz Deutschland, 2021)

DisTouched is a dance performance on stilts that explores the themes of physical distance, personal space and meaning of touch by translating these omnipresent topics into a playful movement language – 70 cm above the ground.

Performance dates in 2022

27.-28. August | artspace Bremerhaven

03. September | Salon K – Das Kunst- und Kulturfestival im Lettekiez

STAGE - VIDEOCHOREOGRAPHY 2019

STAGE is a long-time passion project of video artist Susu Rachidi (Cut That OuT) and me, which merges the aesthetic of dance and captivating cinematography with the interplay of driving music and the hypnotic power of match cuts. This collaborative project was created in Berlin in 2019 and it is directed, filmed & edited by Susu and choreographed & performed by me.

The music video is directed & produced by Eric Dunlap, filmed by David Gaehtgens and the shooting took place at the legendary techno club Salon zur wilden Renate.
